   That there is a sequel to the film Elizabeth I (1998) astounds me very much. Its scripter dealt with the melodrama very well, so historians were not fond of Elizabeth I but audiences turned out to be the fans of Cate Blanchett.

  In the ending,  Elizabeth I in a white costume dress said, "I become a virgin". She vowed and devoted to  her people and  country. why needs a sequel? Thank God, its director Sekhar Kapur , whose most well-known bollywood film is Bandit Queen(1994), and  Michael Hirst both still push Cate Blanchett to a peak. After seeing the trailer, all fans of hers must keep great expectations.

Please give some attentions to other actors

1 . 1997年的簡愛小姐Samanthan Morton (看起來像二愣子,能當BBC劇的女主角才不是二愣子咧),演 Elizabeth的表妹 Mary of Scot . 因為 Henry VIII的姊姊Margret Tudor嫁到蘇格蘭,生下的小孩有英格蘭皇位繼承權.

2. Geoffrey Rush演的華星漢爵士, 依史實邁入老而彌"奸"的境界.幸是Elizabeth I的同路人, 國事有他襄助.續集Trailer旁白經他道出, 歷史感油然而生.Cate Blanchett 第一次挑大樑的 Oscar and Lucinda(1997),第一個鏡頭的敘述者正是Geoffrey Rush(也是Ralph Fiennes戲中未來的子孫)

  今年秋天兩部英國都鐸朝歷史劇上映了.The Other Boleyn Girl , The Golden Age.
